The Role:

As Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the four-strong Senior Leadership Team, who are accountable to the Board of Directors for growing the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing financial strategies to achieve revenue, EBITDA growth and value creation objectives
  • Providing strategic financial guidance and insights to support decision-making processes
  • Managing various financial processes and optimising visibility of financial performance
  • Mitigating financial and commercial risks by implementing controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
  • Overseeing and assisting in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
  • Training other team members, especially management staff, on the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and other financial reports
  • Identifying opportunities and initiatives for business improvement and growth
  • Utilising mergers and acquisitions experience to evaluate potential opportunities, conduct due diligence, and manage acquisitions and partnerships to support growth
  • Providing leadership, support and motivation to the finance team
  • Managing and implementing improvements to financial systems, software, processes, procedures and reporting
  • Overseeing ICT and systems to drive efficiency and simplify processes

About You:

  • You have proven experience in a senior financial management role in B2B hire or leasing
  • You possess a professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • You have a strong track-record of driving EBITDA growth and value creation
  • You have in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, reporting and accounting principles
  • You have excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • If you have experience in mergers and acquisitions, this is desirable
