Finance Business Partner

We are recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join our Team based from our Head Office in West Yorkshire (DN14 0HR).
What will you be doing in this role?
The Group Finance Business partner team support the key Group Functions. They provide business partnering services to Head Office Functions, Group IT, Tunstall Technology teams, the ERP programme and also Supply Chain and Operations. This Junior Finance Business Partner role requires the job holder to help drive the business forward by undertaking robust month end analysis, diving deep into project costs, resource utilisation and benefits tracking; as well as more generally challenging key stakeholders around their teams cost performance and benefit delivery; alongside supporting them with any financial analysis requirements.
The Ideal candidate:
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a good commercial focus in their work and have strong communication skills along with attention to detail.
Key skills and experience:
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge:
- Currently studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA, post qualified, or have relevant finance degree or equivalent qualified experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload effectively
- You should be a good problem solver with great attention to detail
- Lateral thinker who can work systematically and methodically through processes, with the ability to 'think outside the box' in identifying and developing solutions that benefit the business
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Commercial understanding and awareness
- Proven business analysis skills, comfortable manipulating large datasets and able to build automated reports
- Able to work under their own initiative
- Results driven – committed to meeting and exceeding expectations

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the accuracy of the month end management accounts across a number of the Group cost centres, ensuring overhead costs are reported both accurately and timely; and all associated accruals are centrally tracked, with supporting evidence available.
- Drive data manipulation and data mapping activities that improve performance insight. Help develop a suite of KPI reports that transforms data into actionable business intelligence
- Enrich monthly reporting to non-financial leaders with a real focus on insight driven challenge and support, to ensure we maximise our resources, identifying and highlighting any risks or opportunities.
- Help the development of project reporting and tracking with a focus on:
- Project spend and capacity utilisation
- Milestone tracking and project governance
- Investment appraisal support and challenge
- Undertake analysis of key focus areas to build understanding, generating insight from financial/non-financial information to facilitate the business taking action where required
- Support budget and forecast development, submission and continuous improvement
- Support the Finance Business Partner team is providing additional MFG support across areas such as resource & S&OP planning, stock holding & utilisation, outsourcing and product consolidation
- Support the Group IT transformation to ensure the business, it’s products and its’ infrastructure are digital ready; that there is an effective and efficient product release management strategy that enables benefits to be realised; and that cost economies of scale are optimised for the provision of multi-regional IT services
- Support the management of and communication to stakeholder groups
- Support the transition of non-core month end activities to the Financial Shared Services team
