Your new company:
I am recruiting a Financial Controller to join a well-known & loved UK Retailer. You'll have a hybrid of commercial & financial reporting within this role, managing a small finance team and reporting into an impressive CFO.
Your new role:
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for:
- Producing monthly accounts and management accounts
- Creating monthly and annual reports to present results, trends, and financial forecasts
- Managing cash flow
- Leading a small finance team
- System improvement
- Overseeing the yearly audit and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Calculating and submitting tax and regulatory returns
- Overseeing financial analysis
- Reviewing financial plans and budgets regularly to identify saving opportunities
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Reporting to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information
- Assisting the CFO to present reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
- Preparing ad-hoc reports and analysis
What you'll need to succeed:
You'll ideally be ACA/ACCA qualified, trained within an accountancy practice with Audit exposure and have since moved into industry (open on sector) and are now looking for your 2nd or 3rd move. Team management experience is a bonus, but not essential.
