Junior Accountant

I have a great opportunity for a junior accountant to join a fresh produce business with a global presence. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month–end close processes, and ensuring compliance with our financial policies. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and other team members to manage day–to–day accounting tasks, with a particular focus on utilising Sage and Tradabase accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions
• Support month–end and year–end closing procedures
• Assist in preparing tax returns and other financial compliance tasks
• Maintain accurate and up–to–date financial records
• Contribute to the analysis and improvement of financial processes
• Work closely with senior accountants to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

What We're Looking For:

• A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for working with numbers
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience using Sage and ideally Tradabase software
• with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
