Financial Controller - £60,000 - £80,000

Hays Senior Finance are working with a privately-owned growing business in North Wales who are looking to recruit a qualified Financial Controller. The business has a proven history of growth over the last 20 years and significant cash reserves to enable further growth. They have a reputation for excellence and maintain the highest standards throughout the business - this has led to a loyal customer base and market-leading customer feedback.


As Financial Controller you will be No2 in finance but will take responsibility for leading an experienced accounts team of seven people. You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring all internal and statutory deadlines are met and providing a value-adding service to the business. This is a newly created role with a view on succession planning for the existing Finance Director who will look to step back or retire in the next two years.

We are keen to speak to progressive and career driven accountants who are based in North Wales or within a commutable distance. You should have a desire and drive to progress your career into an FD role whilst already operating at a senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller level. We are looking for candidates who have a blend of commercial and technical accounting experience. There will be the opportunity to lead on process improvement and systems projects as well as presenting directly to senior Directors across the business.
