Halliday Marx have partnered with an excellent accounting practice to recruit a French speaking Apprentice Accountant on a permanent basis.
4 days working and 1 study day per week.
Responsibilities;
- Monthly bookkeeping & payroll
- Acting as major point of contact for clients together with the Business Line Manager.
- Responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed
- Company incorporation and set up (including coordination of UK bank account opening, employment contracts, employee benefits)
- Building sustainable external and internal client relationships
- Performing Company Secretary duties for clients
- Use of Sage 50, QuickBooks Online or other cloud based solutions to maintain books and produce
- Trial balance, profit & loss, balance sheet and other reports
- Processing monthly payrolls including general payroll queries and related issues
- Preparation of HMRC related returns including monthly PAYE/NI submissions and quarterly VAT returns.
- Admin and any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements;
- Fluent in French
- Graduate with an Accounting degree or AAT level 4 Qualified
- Excellent double entry bookkeeping, payroll & organisational skills
