Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee and enhance our financial operations. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day–to–day finance operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Supervision of a small finance team, provide mentorship and training support.
- Prepare and submit various HMRC returns to ensure compliance.
- Oversee payroll processes and payment runs.
- Monitor and report cash flow trends, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and other financial analysis and reporting tailored to specific business needs.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities under senior leadership guidance.
- Identify areas for improving operational efficiency within accounting processes.
- Assist in implementing basic financial controls to reduce risks.
- Perform ad–hoc financial projects or team support tasks as business needs arise.
Skills and Experience Required
- Solid experience in finance and accounting roles with some team supervision.
- Familiarity with SME finance operations, including VAT, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with Sage accounting software and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
