Financial Controller | £70-80,000 | Portsmouth | Hybrid
A rare opportunity to join a successful and growing SME business based in Portsmouth as their new Financial Controller. This role is based 4 days per week in the office and offers a clear progression path to become Finance Director Comes with a salary of £70-80,000, reporting into the Finance Director.
The Role
The responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:
- Overseeing/designing and implementing Financial Controls to ensure that the organisation is best placed to minimalise any unnecessary losses
- Mentoring and developing a small finance team
- Overseeing the production of the monthly/quarterly management accounts to be reviewed by the Finance Director
- Engaging with the stakeholders
- Working alongside the Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team in providing commercial and strategic acumen to drive the business forward
About You:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant
- Ambition to become a Finance Director
- 5-10 years PQE
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to mentor staff
- Proven commercial acumen within medium-sized companies
