Financial Controller - Sheffield

This successful Sheffield based SME have experienced rapid growth in the last 3 years, with turnover increasing from £8m to £15m. This growth is set to continue with an ambitious senior management team, and a market leading offering.

As Finance Controller you report to the Managing Director and you will be responsible for managing the finance function of the company, and also assisting with the sister company finance function.

The role is part of the senior management team, and you will therefore be working alongside other senior managers in the business and having an active say in operational strategy. You will also have the chance to work on other non-finance projects.

Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of 4 in finance
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and finance element of board pack each quarter
- Preparation of weekly cash flow reports / forecasts
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Preparation of year-end accounts with supporting schedules for auditors and liaise with the auditors where necessary
- Annual P11d submission
- Quarterly VAT / Intrastat returns
- Monitoring of budgets
- Business partnering with the wider business
- Eventually you will be expected to work out how to appropriately delegate responsibility so you can focus on more senior management and strategy matters

Key Skills / Experience

- Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Previous experience within an SME business
- Team management experience
- Aspirations to progress to Finance Director
