Elevation Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for a Tax and Compliance Accountant for a Global innovative business on the outskirts of Leeds. As a key part of the finance team supporting various UK and European Businesses. You will be responsible for the preparation of VAT and other indirect tax reporting. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and the completion of external audits and support wider finance team activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the submissions of VAT and other indirect tax reporting, including payments to ensure submissions are accurate and on time
-Responsible for with the preparation and filing of financial statements for various UK and European companies. Communicate professionally and effectively across all key stakeholders & functions within EMEA. Participating actively in internal and external EMEA customer meetings
-Provides support for the completion of various external audits, including liaising directly with the auditors to complete all their deliverables and audit requirements. Review of bad debt recommendation and escalate
-Provides support with wider finance team activities, including month-end close review activities and balance sheet reconciliation reviews
-Provides support to group tax team for corporation income tax requirements
-Works with wider group tax, treasury and legal teams and third-party service providers to complete the above activities

The successful candidate will require the following:

-ACA/ACCA or CTA qualified
-Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification
-Good analytical skills and high attention to detail
-Highly organised and an ability to manage time to deliver to deadlines
-Inquisitive and strong proven problem-solving skills
-Good communication skills - both written and verbal
-Experience with preparing VAT returns and other reporting
