Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a key client based in Rotherham as they look to appoint a Data Analyst to provide comprehensive data analysis support to the delivery of new projects. The role will be predominantly home-based however twice a month you may be expected to work from the office, based in Rotherham.
As a Data Analyst you will prepare reports, operational MI tools, and provide ad-hoc analytical support & liaise with stakeholders and key personnel to understand their information needs and then use your analytical understanding to translate our data into good operational performance.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
● Provide a clear view of performance across business operations, understanding trends and identifying opportunities and areas in need of development and improvements
● Create a suite of automated reports and dashboards to effectively manage their business
● Develop an understanding of the various end users of these reports and ensure that they are suitable
● Be able to effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical people
● Provide actionable insight into the customer journey and experience, working to optimise and improve it to enable business growth
● Identify KPIs within the business and ensure that they are measurable. Present performance information on KPIs in ways that help the business meet and exceed targets
● Deliver forecasting and planning analysis
● Adhere to and inform the Data Governance Policy and internal and external compliance standards and regulations
● Work to project deadlines when required, building strong lines of communication with the stakeholders in the wider team
To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:-
● Educated to degree level within relevant subject
● A proven ability to transfer raw data into workable reports and tools
● Experience in communicating data in a simplified manner to support performance and contractual goals.
● Advanced Excel experience, including preferably VBA
● Experience in using a BI reporting platform, either Power BI, Google Data Studio or Tableau
● The ability to analyse data to identify exceptions/areas for attention
