Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working alongside a global, growing organisation as they look to bring in a Trainee Finance Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will join a friendly finance team to provide support across a range of areas including purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations, payments and query management. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to working within a busy environment! You will receive full support from the team around you and on the job training.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Duties & responsibilities:
*Entering payments onto the online banking system
*Raising cheques when necessary
*Updating Sage and other systems as payments are made
*Ensuring purchase invoices are logged and approved in accordance with authority levels
*Posting purchase invoices for the UK & US companies into Sage
*Replying and answering translator queries in a timely manner
*Raising PO's as required
*Assisting with reporting
*Issuing POs as requested by staff
*Matching purchase invoices as received against POs
*Keeping Sage cash books up to date
*Daily bank reconciliations
*Payment template creation
*Producing sales invoices in a timely manner
*Producing the back up for invoices as required
Person specification:
*At least 3-6 months experience working within a finance/admin environment
*Studying towards AAT or desire to
*Educated to GCSE level including Maths & English
*Confident user of Microsoft Office packages including Excel
*Excellent communication skills
