Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a successful manufacturing business based in Cleckheaton, they are currently looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the accounts team.

You will join a close knit and busy team where you will be supported and encouraged in your role to ensure you have everything you need in order to be successful.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Assist financial controller with periodic financial forecasting as and when required
* Control activities such as taxation, credit policies, costing and expense controls
* Ensure activities comply with legal, professional and ethical standards
* Ensure that financial processes and controls comply with all legal requirements, and with best practice
* Liaise with the organisation's internal & external auditors providing relevant supporting documentation as required
* Manage resource(s) effectively to control general accounting functions and processes are maintained appropriately
* Measure performance against budgets and prepare variation, control and statistical reports as required
* Prepare cash flow statements on a periodic basis for review by financial controller to ensure cash flow is kept under control
* Prepare monthly and annual reports in accordance with management and statutory requirements
* Prepare payment runs to ensure vendors are paid to payment terms
* Review and interpret accounting and statistical information to ensure it is completely accurate before submission
* Support the annual budgeting process as and when required to ensure timely submission
* Support the local management team with relevant financial assistance as and when required
* Support the Financial Controller with relevant assistance and advice as required
* Support the International Finance team with monthly reporting tasks
* Continually review accounting activities, in order to identify, propose and help implement centralisation opportunities

Person Specification:

* Knowledge and understanding of management accounts
* Strong communication skills
* Advanced Excel knowledge is essential
* Committed, self-motivated and highly organised individual
