Site Financial Controller

This role reports into the Factory General Manager with a dotted line to Central Finance. The Site Financial Controller will be an integral member of the site leadership team, responsible for the weekly, periodic and annual planning and reporting of site financial performance. It is a vital role within the site leadership team supporting the site's business strategy whilst maintaining strong business partner links at all levels across the site and wider business.

The package will include: -

* Salary of up to £50,000
* 7% annual bonus (Dependent on company performance)

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

* Management of 1 member of staff; Management Accountant
* Work as part of the leadership team to develop and deliver site strategy, goals and objectives in line with business strategy, goals and objectives
* Coach and support the Leadership team and department heads to help them deliber business styrategies
* Ensure best practice is shared at all times and capability is increased
* Lead activities to understand financial constraints and opportunities to enable provide constructive challenge to all cost center managers and Manufacturing and Supply chain costs to drive improvements
* Site lead for site financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, including prime, overhead, logistics, capital and restructuring budgets and forecasts for the site
* Input into monthly review of Site Master Plans and results, 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability
* Develop and prepare detailed weekly, monthly and annual financial reports and KPIs for site (using JDE) and meaningfully communicate to all other areas of the business. Includes prime cost variance analysis, cost centre overhead reporting, waste & project tracking
* Capital project approval and investment appraisal. Asset management including timely additions, disposals and verification
* Play an integral part in change programs across the site focusing on supporting new product launches and capital installations, including all Project Tracking, e., waste, energy benefits
* Maintain Financial Control across all functions at site in the preparation of period and year end accounts
* Adequately resource provision for NPD and tender product costing requirements
* Constantly looking at ways to improve and streamline reporting processes to ensure all activities add value
* Provide expert knowledge of food manufacturing processes to other areas of the business, therefore providing detailed analysis of the drivers of performance
* People development including coaching and training of self and others including non-site based roles

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
* Factory/ Manufacturing sector experience
* Management, planning & budgeting experience
* Ability to Coach individuals at all levels as part of leadership role
* Be comfortable in a shop floor environment
* Strategic, Forward-Thinking and Big Picture mindset
* Effective Business Partnering & Influencing Skills
* Expert knowledge of Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, Lookups) & other MS Office applications such as Word & PowerPoint
* Working knowledge of ERP systems, specifically JD Edwards would be advantageous
* First class communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels
* Self-motivated and takes ownership of tasks and ability to drive results
