Group Consolidation Manager
£50,000 - £55,000, Bonus plus excellent benefits

An exclusive opportunity to influence and lead a division within a multi-faceted growing manufacturing Group, looking to appoint a Group Consolidations Manager to augment its reporting function for the senior leadership team

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Group Regional Consolidation manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that inter profit balances for the region are reconciled within month end time frames along with the preparation of management reporting packs for analytical review.

  • Preparation of the Group's consolidated results, including review of BU inputs, eliminations, and consolidation adjustments
  • Support the preparation of the Group IFRS financial statements, including ownership of a number of notes to the accounts produced to auditable standards
  • Support the preparation of the Group's Solvency 2 consolidated balance sheet and reporting, including ownership of selected quarterly and annual QRTs
  • Support the Group consolidation system and change processes
  • Utilise the Group's asset data store to produce Group asset reporting outputs as required
  • Support the delivery of finance change projects that impact on the consolidation process, including user acceptance testing of any changes
  • Support the delivery of initiatives required to ensure group reporting processes meet all reporting and control requirements of a plc
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships within-group and the wider finance community
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support the improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes and a reduction in operational risk

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA Practice or Industry Accountant, with extensive relevant experience
  • You will have a strong knowledge of financial reporting regulatory requirements and legislative frameworks
  • Knowledge, expertise, and experience in reporting - IFRS and SII required
  • Experience of dealing with complex transactions and associated accounting
  • Experience of the production and delivery of consolidation processes in life and pensions or other financial services organisation would be advantageous
  • Highly analytical and skilled problem solver, with a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to distil complex ideas or problems into simple, effective plans and solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence effectively with productive, successful relationships with demanding stakeholders
