*FTSE 250 FMCG business*

*Up to £500 per day*

*Initial 6 Month Contract*

Role Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for the accurate preparation of the group & individual subsidiary balance sheet and P&Ls ensuring all ledgers are locked each month to a high standard
    • Lead the production of the Group's annual statutory accounts and oversight of the preparation of the subsidiary statutory accounts. Be the main contact point for our external auditors
    • Working alongside the Commercial Finance Manager drive continuous improvements through the month end close process
    • Own accuracy of customer and product margin accuracy through management and control of the stock costing/valuation process (FOB & Landed cost plus currency impact and stock transfers)

    Global controls & Cost down initiatives

    • Partnering various stakeholders across the business you'll be responsible for the implementation and documentation of company wide financial policies and controls to ensure no loss of financial resources for the company
    • Partnering Commercial finance and the Operations Director drive cost improvements through Duty, LCR and other container/shipping related costs

    Tax and compliance

    • For all subsidiaries manage (or work with outsourced advisors to manage) international corporation and sales related tax (VAT, TVA, USA Sales tax)
    • Manage group-wide regulatory requirements to ensure we are compliant with country standards

    Qualifications and experience:

    • ACA qualified (Big 4 ideal)
    • Have worked and thrived in a fast moving and dynamic commercial organisation
    • Consumer goods/FMGC experience required with specific experience managing and controlling stock valuation within a company with multiple warehouses
    • Sales tax experience across multiple countries (UK and USA ideal)
    • Proven ability to develop and enforce new processes to drive a stronger control environment (NetSuite or other cloud-based ERP knowledge advantageous)
    • Able to show excellent communication skills both within own team and across the business
    • Highly driven individual with a hands-on deck mentality
