My client has an ambitious and exciting growth strategy which has led to a significant transformation and the recruitment of a Senior FP&A Manager.

In taking on this role, you will provide insight and challenge to ensure business leaders develop, agree and deliver on these ambitious, strategically aligned and financial disciplined plans.

Duties will include:

Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead on the production of the three year and five business plans. Set top down targets and scenarios covering P&L, income, expenses, capital and cashflow in line with current economic and business environment
  • Project manage end-to-end delivery of financial forecasting and budgeting processes, including communications, timetables and data requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement; actively engage in development of underlying reports, processes and systems
  • Actively monitor the wider economic/market conditions to model scenarios and produce recommendations to senior management of potential changes going forward

Finance and Business Strategy

  • Develop and productionise financial KPIs / balanced business scorecard which will be used to assess the business and financial strategy
  • Identify and track appropriate KPIs to monitor delivery of business goals, and communicate implications to Finance team, CFO and other ExCo members as necessary
  • Where necessary present information to external parties to ensure that our financial position is viewed in a favourable light (including rating agencies, banks and Trustee Board)
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to the forecasting models and processes including ways to automate and simplify the overall forecasting process

Business Performance Management

  • Managing the QBR quarterly performance process
  • Routinely communicate relevant financial information to senior management and highlight trends, key actions and strategic implications
  • Develop and embed a monthly opportunities and risks process

We are looking for the following:

  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in financial services industry preferable
  • Working at Executive level, and preferably experience at Board level in terms of report writing and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organised and able to lead a team and organise the teams' workload
  • Previous been in an FP&A leadership role
