The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a professional accounting body that offers the Chartered Certified Accountant (or ACCA) qualification. Headquartered in London but with 100+ offices in over 50 countries, ACCA is a truly global organisation known for their progressive and innovative approach to professional accountancy.
Accountex
Accountex is Europe’s number one Accountancy and Finance conference and expo, taking place each year at the ExCel in London.With a sister event in Manchester, Accountex provides an opportunity to meet global brands and cutting-edge start-ups to source solutions and technology. Guests can also attend seminars designed to educate and inspire professionals in the fast-moving and ever-changing world of finance.
AIA
The Association of International Accountants (AIA) is a global membership body of professional accountants. Founded in 1928, AIA promotes the concept of international accounting and has created a global network of accountants in more than 80 countries. AIA provides world class qualifications, training and services to support accountants throughout their working lives, equipping them with the skills, knowledge and expertise to ensure they are at the forefront of their profession.

IFA
The Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) is an internationally recognised professional accountancy membership body who solely focus on supporting members and accounting students who work within an SME (small and medium enterprise) sized organisation or who own, run or work within a small to medium sized accountancy practice, who advice micro and smaller sized entities. The IFA are full members of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the global standard bearers and regulators of the accountancy profession globally and are part of the IPA Group, the largest SME focused accountancy group globally with 49000 members and students across 100 countries. Aspiring members follow the Institutes education programme, IFA Direct, made up of 14 units that are relevant and practical for those working in an SME or SMP (small and medium practice) sized business, to achieve membership.
ACA
ACA is a highly-respected professional qualification, with students qualifying as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant upon completion. Valued around the world in business, practice and the public sector, the board requires students to complete at least three years on-the-job training while passing a series of exams. ICAEW represents more than 202,450 members and students around the world, with all of the top 100 global brands employing ICAEW Chartered Accountants.
PQ Magazine
PQ Magazine is a free monthly publication for students studying towards the ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW and AAT qualifications. Packed full of study tips, exam advice and career guidance, PQ Magazine attracts a readership globally, making it the leading independent accountancy magazine in the UK. GAAPweb are proud contributors to the magazine, and sponsors of ongoing events and webinars.
CIMA
CIMA - Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, is the world's largest professional body of management accountants offering the most relevant accounting qualification for a career in business. The qualification consists of a series of exams and practical experience requirements that candidates must complete to become a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). The CIMA qualification covers various aspects of management accounting, financial management, strategic management, and business skills.
AAT
AAT is the Association of Accounting Technicians, the world’s leading professional body for accounting technicians. AAT provides a range of accounting qualifications and training programs for individuals, starting with the Foundation Certificate and progressing to the Advanced Diploma and Professional Diploma. As part of the AAT community, their 124,000 members and students belong to an inclusive association of accountancy professionals around the world.
Women in Finance
The Women in Finance Charter was launched by HM Treasury in 2015 following the publication of a report that found women made up just 14% of Executive Committees in the Financial Services sector. GAAPweb were among the first of over 330 firms to pledge their support and we have since been working hard to promote the Charter, monitor the rate of change and maintain an equal gender split within our management team.
The Economist
Economist Impact, empowers businesses, governments and foundations to catalyse change and enable progress. Economist Impact brings together policy research and insights, data visualisation, custom storytelling, events and media, helping to engage their audience. GAAPweb supports ongoing Economist events, including the annual Global Trade Week, bringing together business leaders and policymakers to discuss the implications of trade policy and practical business logistics.
Women in Banking & Finance
Women in Banking & Finance is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led social enterprise, established to promote diversity and gender equality in financial services in the UK. WIBF offers events of interest and support to help progress the careers and achievements of those who work in accountancy firms, banks, investment houses, finance companies, fintech providers, and more. WIBF works to establish practical solutions for issues to help the financial services sector realise the benefits that diversity and inclusion bring.

The largest global business community of LGBTQ+ professionals, graduates, inclusive employers and anyone who believes in workplace equality. My G Work empowers the LGBTQ+ community by offering individual members a safe space where they can connect with inclusive employers, find jobs, mentors, professional events, e-learning/training, news and much more.
Uninvisibility
Uninvisibility: an initiative curated to 'unleash the power of midlife women', fast tracking mid-life creatives into senior roles. Uninvisibility is a leading D&I network, focusing on providing a support system for women who are designing the second half of their lives. GAAPweb are proud supporters of Univisbility, promoting their 'Visible Start' programme; a course designed to provide women with a community of likeminded individuals, aiding confidence and self-belief, ability, and fundamental knowledge and skills needed to re-join the workforce.
James Wright FCCA
James is a multi-award winning FCCA senior lecturer in accountancy & finance at the University of Chichester Business School (UK), where he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Alongside his face to face classes, James is also a content creator on social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Instagram specialising in all things accounting, and where you can watch free videos on how to utilise GAAPweb resources.
